Tofu, Chocolate And Hazelnut Mousse

Ingredients

Original Tofu

1 block Cauldron Original Tofu
Juice & zest of 1 large orange
30g caster sugar
300mls fresh cream, lightly whipped
200g milk chocolate
75g hazelnuts, roughly chopped 1

  • 15-20 minutes plus refrigerate for1 hour minutes

A delicious indulgent chocolate mousse made with tofu.

Method

1. Drain the tofu, removing as much of the liquid as possible.  Liquidise into a smooth paste, add the juice and zest of the orange along with the caster sugar, and set aside.
2. Lightly whip the cream then add it to the tofu paste.
3. Melt the chocolate in a bowl over a pan of boiling water then fold gently into the cream and tofu mixture.
4. Take some of the hazelnuts and sprinkle into the bottom of a serving bowl place a spoon full of mousse on top then repeat, keeping a few hazelnuts for garnishing
5. Refrigerate for 1 hour.

    This can be made vegan by using vegan long life whipping cream and vegan dark chocolate. Yummy!
